This has been a really bad week for me. I have had no relief unless I am intotal silence. No matter what noise is present around me it starts the clicking/popping in my r. ear. I am seeing a neurologist Tuesday but my hopes are not that high. We'll see. Had one period of relief when I got home from work and was cooking dinner and then eating and it didn't pop at all. Then after dinner it started again and has been there every since. This is just the strangest problem imagineable. I'm not even sure how to explain it to the neurologist! I'm bringing a copy of your home page about SM. It's just so bizaar how when I turn running water on it starts and the instant I turn it off it stops!! My own voice is triggering it constantly but it's difficult to work and not talk. Even typing this now each press of the keyboard gives me a click. Anyone else like this?

Rico, more and more, your examples are exactly like mine, infact you see the neuroligist one day ahead of when i do.
I suffer everyday, and am on disability, because i can not cope with the constant and persistant NOISE in my ear.
I too have learned to live in silence is somewhat of a blessing, and i do cherish those moments of silence.
I have one question for you.
Do these sounds often cause you headaches?
Let me know, best of luck coping honey, if i think of anything that may miraculously help I wll post it up

No, I have never had any headaches. I get occasional ear fullness.
Same goes here if I come up with anything new.
Last night just for the heck of it I tried a cough expectorant (?) of course it did nothing. Waiting for that magic answer!
