Neurontin Day 20 I am feeling really foggy headed these days I've had some tingly feeling in my frontal part of my head since i have begun taking the increased dose at Dinner. The serious lack of sleep is really starting to get to me. I hardly feel like myself. I can't undertand why i cant sleep these days. Its more then frustrating especially when all of these medications are supposed to be making me sleep. Oh well. Update you tomorrow. Lisa

Well the past two days have been a little frustrating at best, my fatigue is seeming to grow, and I am finding it more and more difficult to once again beat that day time fatigue.
I went to the doctor Today ( Jan21 ) and he wants to Ideally get my neurontin up to 300-400mg 3x daily. I can't imagine how tired I will be at such high doses.
So tomorrow, I up my dinner dose, so I am at 200mg 3x daily. I hope it does something for me.
Update you tomorrow

Well yesterday wasn't one of my most brilliant days.
I was distracted most of the day, and had a difficult time really feeling like myself. I just felt spaced out, and experienced an almost floating sensation most of the day. My spasms have definately worstened as they seem to be increasing in frequency in my left ear, almost completely matching the intensity of that in my right ear. The dizzyness is still overwhelming, and I hope that I can find a non-surgical solution to all of this chaos. I am just not willing to chose surgery at my age, because I fear that it will detrimentally affect my hearing toward my old age.
*sigh* well I guess Today is another day, we can hope and pray that this starts to get better as the days move on.
Take Gentle care everyone,
Lisa

Yesterday started up feeling like a normal day.
I woke up early and felt pretty good.
I ended up spending the day out with a girlfriend who had recently broke up with her boyfriend. As the day wore on, i became exhausted, I find that I can't keep up as i used to on these medications. I find that as the day progressed, and I was exposed to more and more noises (although my friends are really good about keeping it quiet) my ears became more and more in pain. I am very frustrated, and am having a hard time with staying awake all day. its just such a drain on my body, I am so exhausted that its at times unbearable.
I had a hard time sleeping last night, my ears were in such pain. I got up at about 3:30 and took a second clonazepam to try to help myself relax.
I hope today is a better day, though the drain from yesterday seems to be clinging.

I do agree that any off-label use for neurontin is bad news. Why neurontin would be used to tread depression, bi-polar disorders, and alot of other reasons beyond epilepsy is beyond me. They had started me on neurontin because my family history shows epilepsy, and thought that it is a possiblilty that the cause for my stapedial myoclonus may be related to epilepsy in some form, I am going to move your post because i beleive it is an important one, and it deserves to stand alone, and not get burried in my neurontin experience diary.

Yesterday i was so tired, and in so much discomfort from my possible ear infection, that i forgot to take my last dose of the day. Yesterday was yet another space cadet day.
Today I am to increase my mid day dose to 300mg.
Hopefully it does something.

Well, the increased mid day dose does something alright. It knocks me right out. I didn't end up taking it until about 9 and I was knocked out from just slightly after then until this morning. Although i have to admit, i had one of the most rotten sleeps ever. Way TOO MANY VIVID DREAMS!
Well Update you tomorrow.

Yesterday I increased the Morning dose
I spent most of the day spaced out, its kind of like i have static vision, like there is alot of static movement in front of my eyes, its hard to explain.
I have been really tired, i hope it goes away, On the positive note its been a whole 2 days since i have had any pops/crackles in my left ear.(my good ear)
I slept for 12 hours, this increase really knocks me out.

I guess i had spoke too soon, my ear began to crackle like mad the day after. I have increased my mid day dose as well now, and the fatigue is crazy.
unfortunately the mystery pain i have hasn't disapeared. And the static vision seems to be ever persistant. I think once i get used to these doses it should disapear....or so i hope.

Well Try 3 at this.(i've been quite spaced out today, and not had much of an oppertunity to write here with any sense of clarity within my head)
The past few days have been fine within regards to side effects, although I have found with my full day being increased to 300mg all around I have a little bit of bowel upset. Maybe it was something I ate... Hard to say.
Tonight I am increasing to 400mgs
I should be knocked out any time soon
Take gentle care

Well, yesterday was an ok day for most of the day I had less popping i think, but i have this new tingly feeling in my left ear.... I keep thinking that my hair is in my ear. Oh well, Last night I incresased my night dose 100mgs. I woke up at 4:30 by the annoying Kaptain (my cat) and was completely out of it. He was trying to open the laundry room door, and I thought for some rediculous reason that if i got the remote control for the tv and pointed it at him that he would stop trying to open the door. Obviously my plan didn't work. lol. I guess we will see how tonight goes Lisa

The medication seems to be hitting me pretty hard these days. I am more tired then I have been in a while. The increase of night time meds seems to be prevoking that "TV static Vision" more then it was present before; I am sure It will change. Still have the lower digestive upset. I hope that disapears soon.
Take gentle care
